Hahn Series 60 AT Nominated for German Design Award of 2016:
The new Series 60 AT of the door hinge manufacturer Dr. Hahn has been nominated by a panel of experts for the German Design Award of 2016. In the "Excellent Product Design – Building and Elements" category, the new Series 60 AT will take up the challenge and compete with the industry's best to win the prestigious award.
The award that highlights success
To participate in the German Design Award, a company must be recommended by the German Design Council, by one of its foundation members, or by one of the ministries of economic affairs of the German federal states. In the next few months, an independent international jury of experts will decide which product will win the award based most innovative design and exceptional functionality.
The perfect solution for every situation
Modern look, increased security against break-ins and an extensive selection of fastening materials – the outstanding features of the new Series 60 AT. The revised door hinge that is designed for metal profile sections, is the first Hahn hinge that can utilise a broad range of mounting options. When it comes to hinges with a pivot point of 20mm or 36mm, door installers have flexibility and can now freely decide what fastening elements they would like to order for the hinge bodies. The requirements placed on hinge mounting are just as diverse as the system landscapes that hinges have to serve. The Hahn anchor screw is the fastening element of choice for almost all multi-chamber sections, while the mounting plate is used for cold sections and the Hahn screw anchor is used especially in door-covering fillings. As a result, the new Series 60 AT offers the right solution for every situation.
Certified for High Loads
Both hinge versions of the Series 60 AT were tested by a testing laboratory with regard to a high load capacity. The 2-piece and 3-piece version have attained a hinge class 14--the currently highest rating available for single-axis door hinges. The 3-piece version with a borehole gauge of 125mm has earned the hinge class 11 rating based on special testing criteria, whereby its high load capacity was also certified by the testing laboratory. The standard version of the new Series 60 AT hinges has demonstrated its usability on smoke-resistant and fire safety doors within the framework of component testing.
